In sports such as mountain biking or cycling, women has a disadvantage that men don't even realize. Unlike men, women have extra tissue attached to their chest which, for some people, can be very heavy and make it more difficult for sports such as biking. Clothing makers have started to realize this, and have decided to make some products that are more beneficial for women. Some of thee products include shorts that allow for women to take a quick bathroom break without removing their jacket and jersey, a posture-fixing sports bra, a pony-tail hat, and leggings with an extra high waistband. With more realizations about how slight things can cause major disadvantages for women, minor inventions can be made that can really affect how well women can thrive in sports.

The American Women's National Soccer Team has been winning games and tournaments non-stop now for a while, in comparison to the men's team who has been losing most of their games. However, the men are paid a significantly larger amount than the women are. This controversy has gotten so much attention that more than two-thirds of Americans believe they should at least be making equal amounts to the men's team. There is a 25% payment gap between the men's top player and the women's top player. Women are paid $72,000 if they play 20 matches a year, and can make some small additional money if they win friendly matches. The men get paid $17,000 just for winning a match and $5,000 if they lose. If a men's team lost twenty matches, they would still make $100,000., which is still more than a woman would make if she won every one of her matches! This issue continues to get bigger and bigger, and the women's team will not stop until they get their equal pay.
In Afghanistan, women's sports have been failing. These sports, such as Taekwondo, Soccer, Cricket, and especially Cycling, are supported by the American government. However, recently many of the funds they receive have stopped supporting them due to corruption of these teams and coaches getting out of control. Many bicycles from an organization supporting the cycling team were donated to the women's Afghan Cycling Federation, however they were all stolen, which also cut off funding for this federation. The cycling coach is currently facing a lot of accusations on whether or not one of his many divorced wives was a member of the team. The women's Afghanistan sports teams are currently in shambles, and they haven't played any national games or tournaments in years. They are working on trying to receive funding, however it is difficult because of all the accusations being tested upon their coaches.
